Bionic Band
Thursday, October 29, 2009
I have been introduced to a new wonder product - the Bionic Band. It is a wrist (or ankle) band that aids in balance, strength, and mental clarity. It is all due to P.A.R.T. or proton alignment resonance technology which aligns the protons in our bodies to work together which leads to all-over better health. Go to the website, kayveeaz.bionicband.com to read all about it. There is even information there about joining the distribution network. For a limited time, I will give a free band to customers who purchase $1,000 or more of blinds or shutters (excluding tax) from the Blind Shop - a $60 value! Our Composite Shutters (Woodlore)
Wednesday, March 11, 2009
OUR COMPOSITE SHUTTERS, CALLED WOODLORE, ARE ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE! Up to 70% of a basswood tree is discarded when making a basswood shutter. When a basswood tree is cut from a forest, it takes 100 years for another basswood tree to grow in its place. Woodlore shutters are made from fast-growth trees farmed in Chile, Argentina, New Zealand, and Australia. This timber is grown specifically to make Woodlore, and an amazing 80-90% of the tree is used to create our shutters. The growth cycle for these trees is only 8 years. Woodlore exceeds all current environmental regulations including the new maximum formaldehyde emission standard of 0.08 PPM (parts per million) that California is considering to take effect January 1, 2012. Woodlore material was tested by the Composite Panel Association (CPA) according to the Large Chamber (ASTM E1333) – the test that will actually be used to meet California’s regulations. According to their test results in 2007, they determined that the amount of formaldehyde concentration in the air emitted by our Woodlore material is 0.00 PPM. You can be assured that you are receiving a product that is not only beautiful, but environmentally safe.Labels: shutters, woodlore
Protect Your Children at Home
Thursday, January 15, 2009
Window coverings can pose a potential strangulation hazard to children. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, since 1990, more than 200 infants and young children have died by accidently strangling in window cords. Parents and guardians should replace all window coverings in the home with today's safer cordless products or with shutters. Please read the tips below:
1. Make existing shades and blinds more child safe with the addition of cord cleats and cord tensioners, free with the order of your blinds. 2. Eliminate cords by replacing blinds and shades with shutters. 3. Always keep windows closed and locked when small children are in the room 4. Do not place cribs or other furniture near windows 5. Never allow anything to dangle in a crib or bed 6. Never allow long window covering pull cords to "puddle" on the floor next to the window 7. Make sure new window blinds and shades have the highest quality child safety devices: * Cordless Cellular Shades * Cord Cleats * Cord Tensioners for Continuous Cord Loops To use a cord cleat, install the device high and out of the reach of small children and then wind excess cord around it. This prevents children from becoming entangled in the dangling cord. For window treatments with a cord loop, install a cord tensioner to keep cords taught and prevent them from twisting and tangling. 8. Hang stylish crib comforters or other bedding items on the wall, instead of placing them in the crib. Fluffy comforters or pillows, while adorable, have the potential to smother or suffocate a baby. 9. A spring-loaded lid-support device for toy chests is useful to prevent the lid from falling on a child's neck or from trapping a child playing inside the chest 10. Changing tables should always have safety straps. 11. All electrical outlets should be covered - in every room, not just the rooms you think children are most likely to be in.Labels: blinds, cellular shades, children, safety, shades, shutters, window coverings
